Charleston Academy Delays 11-14’s Program Until the 2020 Season

Charleston, SC – Charleston Academy today regrettably announced it will defer its 11-14’s program until the 2020 season due to the low number of registrations for tryouts for the 2019 season.  Tryouts for October 27 & 28 are cancelled and all registrations will be fully refunded.

“Although we are disappointed in having to make this decision, we felt we needed to provide as much notice as possible for players with standing offers to decide where to play for the 2019 season.  We understand a new club takes time to establish its brand and seeing progress is important to players and parents.  We are committed to the Charleston market long term and will continue to support the local volleyball community any way we can.   We will still be supporting the 15 & 16’s which we have received strong interest for the 2019 season and will be making strategic announcements related to those age groups in the next few days,” said Club Director Jaime Shamis.
