Reno, NV - nation.academy is a forming a nationwide public 6-12 charter school network that will be located in 50 locations around the continental United States in parallel and on location with our multisport facility campuses.
Unlike most traditional charter schools, nation.academy will NOT participate in traditional state high school leagues. Instead, it will provide flexible year-round education that meet the state requirements to accommodate the rigorous training and travel required for elite athletes to compete at the national level in collaboration with our sport programs in order to be recruited to play at top Division I, II and III programs. Students will be allowed to play scholastic sports at the school they are zoned in if they choose which will be subject to each state’s high school league rules or focus on year-round training for athletes focusing on elite Division I program opportunities.
Our mission is to help our staff, students, and players grow into collegiate and career ready individuals by combining academics with personal empowerment to drive lifelong success in a state-of-the-art sport centric and team-based environment competing at the highest level possible every chance they get.
We serve our full communities by intentionally developing a culture that embraces diversity, equality, and inclusion. We will pair a competitive, content-rich, college dual enrollment curriculum with opportunities to explore participation and careers in sport. That isn’t limited to only athletes playing a sport, but anyone interested in learning about all things sport related including, but not limited to, physical performance, mental agility, nutrition, sleep, content creation, management, marketing, coaching, recruiting and more.

I’m not sport minded, but I was able to have a career in sport with Disney launching and managing several marquee events and projects including the Disney Wide World of Sports. We’re seeking to create a national school network for the local, regional, and national level players and students seeking the optimal experience around all things sport along with an exceptional education platform. Today, to be recruited, you must train and play at the highest level you can every chance you get and to enter the work force you need applicable skills. This typically requires a tremendous amount of travel which isn’t conducive to traditional school calendars which nation.academy is addressing,” said Anthony Gebbia, CEO of nation.academy.
nation.academy will also launch a Charter Management Organization (CMO) in due course to provide back-office support of accounting, reporting, payroll, audit preparation and the funding of the development of the school via public/private solutions. The schools will be run by local independent school boards comprised of seasoned business operators, operation staff, parents and have student representation.
