nation.academy is a forming a nationwide public 6-12 charter school network that will be located in 50 locations around the continental United States working in parallel and on location with our multisport facility campuses. We pair a rigorous, content-rich, college dual enrollment curriculum with opportunities to explore participation and careers in sport.

nation.academy is currently hiring a charter high school principal for the 2025-2026 school year.

Job duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Lead and form the Charter Committee with the state department of education and a state charter authorizer
• Lead and form first school board comprised of a Principal, Teacher, Student, Coach and Parent representatives along with highly experienced business and/or education members.
• Form Parent, Student, and other related School Organizations
• Work with the nation.academy Charter Management Organization (CMO)
• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of grades 6th through 12th
• Assist with hiring and evaluating faculty and staff through a hiring committee
• Managing communication with all stakeholders
• Using data to determine professional development needs and next steps
• Overseeing and evaluating the current 6-12 instructional program
• Overseeing and evaluating the 6-12 professional development program
• Overseeing and evaluating the 6-12 curriculum and assessment program
• Overseeing and evaluating the 6-12 athletics and activities program
• Participating on the 6-12 leadership team
• Developing the school-wide master schedule in conjunction with the leadership team
• Collaborating with elementary school principals to transition students
• Helping kids realize their dreams for the future

The online application should include a cover letter and resume. Educational and leadership philosophy, copy of transcripts, and three current letters of recommendation are highly recommended but not required with initial application.

• Current State Principal License
• Salary range $100,000 to $150,000 based on verified experience
• 210 workdays
• Start January 2024 (or sooner); Charter School Packet Submission Due February 1, 2024

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 – $140,000.00 per year
